Second Vice-President's Report 2001- 02

The 2^nd V-P has responsibility for the publications program of the Association.

This includes the following Committees and activities, whose reports follow:

• Publications Committee
• Historical Maps Committee
• Web Site
• ACMLA Bulletin
• Publications Officer

This year most of my activities beyond participation in Board meetings, e-mail consultation and other activities has focused on the re-assessment of two of the Association's major publication programs - the monographic publications (through the Publications Committee) and the facsimile maps (through the Historical Maps Committee). Progress of these reviews is outlined in the respective Committee Reports.

I would like to give special thanks to Louis Cardinal, our long-serving Publications Officer, for his crucial but 'behind the scenes' contributions to our Association and the Publications programs in particular.
